City Artist & Gallery Exhibit Program

The Public Arts Commission provides local artists opportunities to consign, exhibit, display and sell their art works. Local artists who are interested in creating a high-quality exhibit of their art works, if chosen, will receive support and direction from a professional artistic director to help curate or create their original exhibit.

PAC cultivates and keeps a local artist registry of artists from the region and works to connect the artists and their works with potential collectors.

Artist works and exhibition visions are shared with the Mayor of Grand Forks. The Mayor and first lady choose an awardee quarterly, and host an opening reception and provide city hall exhibition space for the artists work to be seen by visitors of the Grand Forks City Hall. Artists are also chosen with PAC gallery partners - Altru Professional Park and the Alerus Center. Selected artists receive exhibition space and an opening reception.

All artists interested in selling their art may consign their art works with the Public Arts Commission. Any art works not on exhibit are listed on PAC’s online commerce and web-site.

The initiative is branded and artworks are marketed as Northern Arts Marketplace by PAC.
