ARTWISE TO EXHIBIT “The Sketchbook Project”

ArtWise will exhibit a small portion of the Sketchbook Project from January 18, 2025-February 22, 2025.

The Sketchbook Project is the world’s largest collection of national and international artist sketchbooks, featuring 28,000 books created by thousands or artists representing approximately 100 countries. Since its inception in 2006, the collection has been a beloved part of the art world. Contributions range from love letters and diary entries to graphic novels and intricately detailed masterpieces, all inside the pages of five-by-seven-inch, paper-bound books. After this nonprofit decided to close, most of the collection was gifted to the Taube Museum of Art.

Viewers should take the time to look through the pages, feel the textures, and become engrossed in the thoughts/feelings/life that the artist poured into the pages.

The books are great teaching tools and could/should be used in conjunction with workshops (journaling, bookmaking, etc), but they also stand on their own as fine art pieces.

The ArtWise Gallery will have some workshops and encourage groups to visit to accomplish their workshops.

No charge will be made to groups coming into the gallery to have workshops but schedule through our website at www.artwisegf.com.
